BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA-(7-2-2005) More than 20 countries willing to lead in this Olympic sport, competing through out a whole week in Olivos´ Port, province of Buenos Aires. Athens´ Olympic champions and bronze medallists have already arrived to the country.
Buenos Aires, February 7, 2005. The Star Class World
Championship (www.starworld2005.com) that will be held from the 12th till the 20th of February in Olivos´ Port, will have this Friday, February 11th, it’s inauguration party with the presence of the Vice-president of Argentina, Mr. Daniel Scioli and more than 20 representatives of countries that have arrived to Buenos Aires for the competition.
Mr. Daniel Scioli, besides holding his position in Government, has remained in contact with the nautical sports. Himself was a former motor boat racing champion years ago and his presence in this event is a sign of support to all the efforts that were done to make Buenos Aires, once again, the organizer of the event.
The best sportsmen of this class will be present in the competition such as: Athens´ Olympic Champions, the Brazilians Torben Grael and Marcelo Ferreira and the bronze medallists from France, Xavier Rohart and Pascal Rambeau. Also the last world champions of Star Class 2004, the Swedish Fredrik Loof and Anders Ekstrom and the Brazilian South American 2005, Lars Grael and Marco Lagoa will be striving for a place in the podium.
